MALE’, Maldives — President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu has directed police to stop and question foreigners found on the streets after midnight, citing concerns about public order. In a post on social media Wednesday, Muizzu said law enforcement agencies would begin implementing the measures immediately, with patrols running from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. He added that legal action would be taken against anyone found violating local laws.
