First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has opened the People’s National Congress (PNC) campaign booth in the Hulhumalé Middle constituency as preparations intensify for the upcoming local council and women’s development committee elections. The opening ceremony was held this evening in Hulhumalé.

The First Lady was accompanied by PNC Vice President and Campaign Manager Ibrahim Falah and senior party leadership. Also present were Moosa Ali Jaleel, the PNC candidate for Mayor of Malé City, Al Ustazah Ashiyath Alaika Adhnan, the candidate for President of the Malé City Women’s Development Committee, and the party’s candidates contesting seats in Hulhumalé Middle.

The PNC is fielding the highest number of candidates in the 4 April polls and is conducting extensive campaign activities across the country, with a particular focus on the capital.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has also been actively meeting the public and engaging directly with communities. He has been personally involved in door to door campaigning in several neighbourhoods of Malé, continuing the close‑contact approach he maintained during his tenure as Mayor. The PNC is opening campaign booths in different parts of the city every night as part of its outreach efforts.

Campaign activities are ongoing with strong momentum, with party leaders highlighting the growing public support seen across constituencies.
