Indian Sisters’ Sansaar Aims to Redefine Luxury Home Décor with Bold 2025 Plan

DELHI, Feb. 25, 2025 — Sansaar, the eco-conscious home décor brand founded by Indian sisters Sanjana and Sarah Arora, is charging into 2025 with a market plan that could make it a global leader in sustainable luxury. Backed by D’Decor, the world’s largest soft furnishings producer, Sansaar is aiming for 5.77 million USD (Rs 500 crore) in revenue within five years while expanding into the USA, UK, Middle East, and Europe—markets already fueling over 60 percent of D’Decor’s earnings. The strategy includes phasing out coal for biomass fuels, recycling 95 percent of production water, increasing sustainable products by 50 percent, and switching logistics to an all-electric vehicle fleet.

The ambition matches the results so far. In its first year, Sansaar notched a 35 percent revenue spike and expanded to over 450 stores across more than 100 Indian cities. Its new flagship store on MG Road, Delhi—a massive 10,500-square-foot, four-floor space—stocks 20,000 SKUs and offers interactive features like tactile zones and virtual design tools. “We’re not just selling fabrics; we’re shaping lifestyles,” Sarah Arora said at the opening.

Sustainability drives the operation. Sansaar generates 3 million watts of solar power, recycles half its production water, and uses fully recycled packaging. It slashed greenhouse gas emissions by 5 percent last year and recycles all non-hazardous waste. “Luxury isn’t about excess—it’s about responsibility,” Sanjana Arora said, pushing for a world where high-end fabrics like bouclés and jacquards leave no ecological footprint.

D’Decor, the parent company, keeps the momentum going, boosting manufacturing capacity by 50 percent and deploying robotic warehouses. Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, Sansaar’s ambassador, adds star power, making green living look cool and approachable.

What started as a small venture by the Arora sisters has snowballed into a phenomenon. With 30 eco-friendly textile collections—featuring sheers and recycled-fiber designs—Sansaar taps into a growing demand for purpose-driven purchases. “People want more than décor; they want meaning,” Sarah said.

From its Delhi hub to plans for standalone stores across India, Sansaar is doubling down on reach. After a breakout 2024, 2025 is about going big—and global. For a brand just a year old, the Arora sisters’ vision is starting to look like a worldwide playbook for luxury done right.
