Malé, Maldives — The Maldives Industries Chamber has extended formal congratulations to its president, who has been awarded the Russian Federation’s Badge of Honor “For Cooperation,” a distinction recognizing his work as the Honorary Consul of Russia in the Maldives and his role in advancing bilateral ties.
In a statement, the Chamber described the award as a “prestigious recognition” of his years of “dedicated and principled service,” noting his efforts to safeguard the interests of Russian citizens in the Maldives while helping deepen cooperation between the two nations.
The honor, conferred by the Russian government and formally presented in Malé by Levan S. Dzhagaryan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Maldives, is regarded as one of Moscow’s notable diplomatic distinctions, typically reserved for individuals who have played a sustained role in advancing bilateral cooperation.
The Chamber said the accolade reflects not only personal achievement but also the growing profile of Maldivian business and diplomatic institutions.
