The People’s National Congress (PNC) today carried out a door‑to‑door campaign in the Henveiru West constituency ahead of the upcoming local council and women’s development committee elections. President Dr Mohamed Muizzu took part in the outreach, meeting a large number of residents during the afternoon round.

The President was accompanied by Moosa Ali Jaleel, the PNC candidate for Malé Mayor, and Aishath Alika Adnan, who is contesting for the Malé City Women’s Development Committee. State ministers and senior party leaders also joined the campaign teams.

During the visits, the President stopped at several homes in Henveiru West, listening to concerns raised by residents. He also shared elements of his administration’s vision and ongoing work. The President greeted people along the streets and assured them that the issues they raised would be addressed.

The PNC noted that it has already secured a significant number of seats across the country ahead of voting day. A total of 69 candidates have won uncontested, including 28 council seats and 41 seats in women’s development committees.
